Christina Panchuk bought her 2001 Midnight Blue Mica
from a private seller in June, 2005 with 48 kms. After test driving
about 10 Miatas [and finding things wrong with all of them], the
moment I walked up to see her I knew she was the one I had to
have. The car was already sale pending, but
to Christinas luck, the potential buyer had bad credit and couldn't get
a loan, so she picked her up in a heart beat! And Christina hasnt
stopped smiling since! The Midnight Blue Mica is a 6-speed, with
an OEM aerokit. Current mods include an
aftermarket stereo, 15 inch Konig Heliums, Compustar alarm with motion
sensor, Hard Dog Deuce roll bar, K & N performance intake, Cobalt
exhaust and KYB AGX shocks with Eibach Prokit lowering springs. Yep, I love this car!

Brian Petrie is a MG TC [1949 BRG] man from way back,
but realized the Miata was something special when his
friend, Susan Kiddie, asked him to drive her red Mark 1 all the way back
home to Montreal after their trip to Ogonquit in Maine. It was a top
down, late afternoon and early evening drive and the car purred along
with just enough oomph to get him hooked. After Brian came to Vancouver,
one of his stocks [the only one] went ballistic, so he took a fist full
of dollars, and went first to Summit Motors [the salesman was a clone of
the guy in "Fargo"], and then to Wolfe Mazda. There it was, a fully
loaded, grace green mica [BRG to Brian] 1999 Mark 2 with only 19000
clicks on the odometer. Now it's his, YEAH, he adds! |

Brian Salisbury's
Velocity Red 2004 MazdaSpeed sits in his driveway, ready to be driven
absolutely anywhere! Mods
now include a Hard Dog Extreme roll bar, Flyin' Miata down pipe,
high-performance intake and throttle body inlet pipe, GFB blow-off valve,
air splitter
and
JIC Magic FLT-A2 coilovers. 205/40/17 Falken Azeni RT - 615s ensure
this little puppy sticks to the road through those much sought after
"twisties". |
 Motorcycling
was in Lester's blood since 1970, but it wasn't losing a
good friend on a motorcycle trip,
followed two weeks later by another serious accident involving
another friend on a bike, that he decided to "hang up the helmet" and leave the sport with "ALL
LIMBS INTACT". He chatted with his very understanding wife,
Sharon, who willingly rode on the motorcycle with him and was along
for the ride on that fateful day, and said to her . . . " If I
can have a sports car, the bike will be gone tomorrow."
Not
long after the 2000 SE appeared and "she" has been a whole lot of
fun! This is their 2nd Miata, Sharon having owned an NA in 1989! Lester
has now "flushed" the "bike gene" from his system, and is enjoying the
Roadster as much as he did the bike! |
